Finlay Park Adventure Camp

Finlay Park Adventure Camp was started in the 1940’s to provide a location for Easter camps for the young people of the Waikato region.

Finlay Park has grown and changed over the years to the facility that it is today. Almost 300 beds across 2 camp sites, Main Camp and The Village. And with all the activities available at Finlay Park we can cater for your next camp.

This year was my 9th camp,

This year was my 9th camp, over 18 years. It was the 14th camp for our school, over 28 years. Our students had a superb experience – every day they were challenged to do something new, to push themselves beyond what they knew they could do – and your staff were 100% positive and professional. Thank you.

Thank you too, for the special care you took to create another magical memory for Nate, our wheel-bound student. He did more than he knew he could do – and he loved being the hunter on Survivor Island and being able to play paint ball as well.

We look forward to being back in 2022 – for our 30th year as a school.

We LOVED our time in The Village at Finlay Park

We LOVED our time in The Village at Finlay Park, we will definitely be booking it again for next year! The facilities were awesome and the falaes were so much fun for the kids. The huge dining room/deck area was perfect for meals and hanging out. Our host Gus was friendly and super helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

The kids and adults were all really complimentary, and were keen to come again. The activities were really well supervised and the staff really helpful and easy to contact. The facilities were great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and when something wasn’t working (gas) it was fixed promptly.

For the cost of the camp, I thought it was excellent value for money. Erin was relaxed and completely approachable.
The glow worms were excellent and the guides really knowledgeable. Having the chapel was great for our school as well.

The design and layout is superb

We had a fantastic time at the village, we could easily have stayed one more night. The design and layout is superb, we all loved the swimming pool, the easy access to the lake and having our own jetty for the weekend. Mathew did a stellar job of looking after us, and we would love the opportunity to come back again:-)

The Village pool is new for 2015 and if we do say so ourselves, looks amazing. A small piece of a tropical island in the middle of Finlay Park. Next visit come for a dip and then the staff for all the work that was installing the pool and the landscaping.

It's all happening now! We had two good days with prep work and the pool on the hole. In the next week we will start the plumbing and all the other detail, like fences, paths and gardens. The boys compacting the base ready for 75 tonnes of water!      ...

The new Village Pool

This week we are starting the built of a brand new Pool!!!! Where you might ask? The Village of course as it just keeps getting better and better. We will have some pictures in the next few days to keep you up to date! The Finlay Team
